| The scissor dancer is the main character in celebrations held in the peruvian andes as he is considered to be divine and has a pact with the devil. This hero has super natural powers which he proves by fakir demostrations called "atipanacuy". It is said that the dancer is protected and iluminated by the sacred mountains "apus wamani" and other andean divinities. There are approximately 300 scissor dancers in the whole of Perú. |
